Student Government

The Loudonville Christian School Student Council aims to create a social environment within the academic microcosm that encourages Christian fellowship and continued growth towards and in our Creator. The Council is comprised of ten high school students representing their respective grades in a collaborative effort to make practical decisions for action to improve student life at the school.

Headed by an elected president and vice president from the senior class, the Council also elects a secretary, treasurer, historian, and minister with their respective assistants from within the group. Therefore, every member of the Council holds a vitally important and unique position in the group of student leaders.

By participating in Student Council, students learn to listen to various perspectives on issues that will directly affect their lives at school, and to intelligently debate ideas in a relatively open but controlled environment. The Council coordinates a wide range of events, including: worship, concerts, fund drives, special lunches for the entire school, staff appreciation days, and various student activities that encourage fellowship among students in an atmosphere of responsible fun.

Preeminent in the mind of the LCS student government is the glory of God in all that is mentioned, discussed, and ultimately planned. Meetings begin and close with prayer, as students are entirely devoted to His service.
