Parent Partners

We are so glad you are a parent at LCS!  As we partner with you, we encourage you to be involved in our amazing community!

At LCS we recognize how special and important our parents are!  Their involvement strengthens our community, enables us to host special events with greater ease, and provides ways of blessing our faculty and staff.  Parents, we thank you for all you do to support LCS!

We invite you to take part and get involved!  Please see the opportunities below.

GET INVOLVED

Parent Teacher Fellowship

Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) is a special part of our school community that serves to support the ministry of LCS through the promotion of fellowship, service, prayer, and events.  The PTF serves the school by assisting with the coordination of approved events, activities, and fundraisers sanctioned that honor and promote the school community.  For more information, visit our PTF page or contact Tricia Bibighaus, LCS Parent, at ptf@lcs.org

ASSIST WITH EVENTS

Grandparents' Day

Every year, LCS sets aside this day to honor grandparents and special friends who have built into the legacy of our students and families.  This day hosts food, fellowship, visits to the classrooms, and a special concluding chapel for our whole community.

To host this special event, we rely on the support of our faithful parents to help with set up, food needs, serving, and cleaning up.  If you are interested in helping, please contact Amy Thiel, Librarian and Grandparents' Day Coordinator, at athiel@lcs.org.

Annual Auction

Each year, LCS hosts the Annual Treasure of the Heart Auction & Gala in support of the mission of Loudonville Christian School.  This event is set aside to come together as a community, to celebrate our school, and to raise funds to support the Annual Fund, allowing LCS to continue our mission of educating students with excellence and to the glory of God.

There are several opportunities to be involved in this special event, such as organizing a class basket, helping with acquisitions, donating items or services, becoming a sponsor, and setting up and decorating.

If you are interested in learning more or getting involved please contact the Auction Coordinator, at auction@lcs.org.

Scholastic Bookfair

At LCS, we love books and believe that building a love of reading will enhance every child's education.  To this end, we host a Scholastic Bookfair each fall in support of building literacy skills and a love of reading. Every purchase made through the bookfair serves to support the LCS library.

If you are able to help with set up or to facilitate students shopping during the day, please contact Amy Thiel, LCS Librarian, at athiel@lcs.org.

Barnes & Noble Bookfair

Each spring, LCS hosts a bookfair at B&N in support of LCS.  This fair is coordinated with the Colonie Center School Bucks Program, and by hosting we earn points for our school.  Additionally, LCS is able to earn cash back for all purchases made during the fair in support of the LCS library.

We host story times, lego contests, scavenger hunts, and more!  But none of this would be possible without the help of our community! If you are able to help with this event, please contact Amy Thiel at athiel@lcs.org.

CONNECT WITH STUDENTS

Service Internship

At LCS, every high school student participates in our Service Internship Program.  After school, students have the opportunity to reach into the surrounding community in meaningful ways that serve others.  This program requires the help from adult chaperones who can set aside a couple of hours during the month to assist with driving and oversight of the students.  If you are able to help, contact Emma Williams at ewilliams@lcs.org.

EFFORTLESS GIVING
